Hollies Trout Farm
Fly and coarse
angling in a beautiful tranquil rural valley. The fly-lake is
one and a half acres in area and is fed by the headwaters of
Sheldon Stream. It is stocked with Rainbows to sixteen pounds
and also has wild Brown Trout. A large fisherman’s hut
enables anglers to shelter from the worst of the weather if
required.
The coarse
lake is three-quarters of an acre and is spring fed. It
contains a variety of species. The surrounding trees give good
shelter from the excesses of the weather.
There is easy
wheelchair access to both lakes.
Fresh and
smoked trout and homemade pate are available at the gate, at
farmers markets and at local retail outlets. Trade and retail
enquiries are welcome. We also offer a smoking service to both
trade customers and members of the public.
.
Spacious well-appointed Bed and
Breakfast accommodation is available in the farmhouse where
there is one double room and one twin room. Cots and high
chairs are available if required. Self-catering accommodation
is available in our cosy rustic log cabin. Residents of both
types of accommodation qualify for a discount on fishing fees.
Conference /
meeting facilities are available for up to 30 delegates.
Corporate
entertainment packages are available.
We are
situated in Sheldon village near Dunkeswell, halfway between
Honiton and Cullompton. There is ample parking close to both
of the lakes and to the accommodation.
